A community of 200 women recently stepped into one of our Be Braver workshops and the results, as always, have been nothing short of inspiring.
I promised I would share some of the reflections from the session, the feedback, and what this collective experience revealed. From women carrying around their little bottles of courage, to postcards pinned to desktops, to brave conversations now happening about career ambitions, this seems like more than a workshop. It has he sense of a movement.
Here are some of the themes that emerged, not the ones that I took away, but what those that attended took away: -
Courage is Already Within You
One of the most powerful realisations was that bravery wasn’t something to be added it is something already alive within each woman.
As one participant put it:
“Actually, it was a realisation of how brave I was in 2024 (both personal life and work life) and how well it has turned out.”
Through self-reflection, we unlock that hidden strength and start to build unshakable confidence for what comes next. Being braver isn’t about not being brave, it’s about understanding a new, wiser way to engage with courage.
Leadership Starts With How We Show Up
One of the key mindset shifts was about reimagining what leadership means.
“Leadership starts with me. It’s about how I show up day in, day out.”
Be Braver challenges the old idea that leadership is about position or title. Instead, it's about presence, how we choose to lead in meetings, conversations, decisions, and moments that matter. How we do the right thing.
Small Steps, Big Change
Perfection isn’t the goal. Progress is.
One attendee captured it perfectly:
“Incremental paths for each project I am working on. Small but impactful steps vs waiting to get it perfect.”
With the right action planning tools, progress doesn’t have to wait for the stars to align. It begins right now.
Embracing the Unknown
Another insight that landed deeply: courage is required most when the path ahead is unclear.
“Embrace the unknown as a new beginning.”
We introduced resilience-building practices that support this, daily tools to meet uncertainty not with fear, but with curiosity and hope.
A Community That Lifts as It Climbs
The most heartening shift? Many women began asking, How do I help others Be Braver too?
“How can I help some of my female colleagues Be Braver?”
This wasn’t just about leadership development. It was about activating collective courage, creating spaces where teams, peers, and colleagues can also find their voice.
Why It Matters
Every single woman who attended said they would recommend the workshop.
They called it:
“Empowering.”
“Thought-provoking.”
“A paradigm shift.”
“A dare to step out.”
Be Braver isn’t just a workshop. It’s a spark. A catalyst. A shared language that unlocks the best of what’s already within us, and each other.
Now imagine: what if your whole team shared an experience like this together?
What would change if courage was part of your culture?
